1 BUNCH SWISS CHARD

1 WHITE ONION, SLICED

1 CLOVE GARLIC, CUT IN HALF

1 TEASPOON SALT

BLACK PEPPER TO TASTE

3 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL

DIRECTIONS

  • FIRST YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE SOME OF THE WHITE STEMS AND CHOP UP THE REST
  • THEN BLACHE THE SWISS CHARD (BOILING IT IN WATER FOR 2 MINUTES) AND DRAIN
  • HEAT UP A MEDIUM SIZE FRYING PAN WITH THE OIL, GARLIC AND ONION
  • SAUTEE UNTIL SOFT, ABOUT 3-5 MINUTES, STIRRING OFTEN
  • THEN ADD THE SWISS CHARD ALONG WITH THE SALT AND PEPPER
  • COVER AND COOK UNTIL TENDER (ABOUT 15 MINUTES)
