Hello and welcome to my Healthy Blog Site.

I am a home cook who is always looking to create new recipes that are both tasty and healthy.  I first began to cook once I got married and that’s when I began to experiment with food.  The unique flavours, the simple ingredients and fresh taste got me hooked with my cooking adventure.

It wasn’t until recently that I questioned the pros and cons of eating certain foods.  I found that over the years, many foods and ingredients caused a lot of discomfort in myself and people around me.  For example, refined sugars and white flour.  That’s when I began to make a change.  Not only did I stop craving the harmful sugars but my stomach issues began to resolve without the use of relying solely on medication.  Not to mention the weight loss that came along with this change,  just by substituting refined sugars with natural sweeteners.  I was never a fan of deprivation diets which only made me crave unhealthy foods even more.

In my recipes, I incorporate real foods with real ingredients.  Now, I want to share my love and passion of great tasting healthier food with you.  I hope you enjoy my recipes and come along this journey with me.

I strongly believe in eating healthy as a lifestyle choice and not as a diet!
