1 BAG OF FROZEN SWEET PEAS

2 CUPS OF FRESH MUSHROOMS

1 MEDIUM WHITE ONION, DICED

2 TABLESPOONS OLIVE OIL

2 TEASPOONS SEA SALT

BLACK PEPPER, TO TASTE

2 CUPS WATER

1 GARLIC, CUT IN HALF

DIRECTIONS

  • IN A MEDIUM SIZE POT, HEAT 1 TABLESPOON OF OLIVE OIL AND ADD YOUR ONION, SAUTEE FOR 2-3 MINUTES, STIRRING OFTEN
  • THEN ADD YOUR RINSED FROZEN PEAS ALONG WITH THE WATER, 1 TEASPOON OF SALT AND PEPPER, TO TASTE
  • COVER AND LET COOK FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES, PUT ASIDE
  • MEANWHILE, IN A MEDIUM SIZE FRYING PAN, HEAT UP 1 TABLESPOON OF OLIVE OIL AND GARLIC, SAUTEE FOR 2 MINUTES ON LOW HEAT
  • THEN ADD YOUR MUSHROOMS, 1 TEASPOON SALT AND PEPPER, TO TASTE, COOK COVERED AND STIR OFTEN FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL ALL LIQUID HAS BEEN ABSORBED
  • FINALLY ADD THE MUSHROOMS TO THE PEAS AND MIX WELL. ADD MORE SALT, IF NEEDED.
