The story into making these delicious protein balls is that I was given a huge opportunity to set up a table for my first event for Good Life Fitness.  They were running an annual event called “Spin 4 Kids” where all money being raised that day goes directly to Sick Kids’ Foundation.  I was honoured to be a part of this event but my goodies that I provided that day, would have to be “Nut Free” so that’s how I came up with this recipe.

The feedback was overwhelming at how many people loved my protein collagen balls.  I am sure you will all love this recipe as well, give it a try!  Healthy & Delish is my motto!!!

Ingredients:

2 cups organic gluten free quick cooking rolled oats

1/4 cup organic ground flax seeds

1 scoop Further Food Collagen Peptides Powder

1/2 cup pure honey

1/2 cup Sunflower butter

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

1/2 cup mini semi sweet chocolate chips

Directions:

In a large mixing bowl, add all the dry ingredients: the oats, flax seeds & collagen powder (whisk until combined)

Now add the rest of the ingredients, mix well with a spatula to combine, making sure all the ingredients are well incorporated

Scoop 1 teaspoonful of the batter and start forming into balls, if batter gets stuck into your palms while forming, it helps to wet your hands often while forming the balls

Place all balls onto a tray lined with parchment paper

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or freeze for up to 1 month into freezer safe containers until ready to use.

*Makes about 30 balls, depending on the size*
