INGREDIENTS:

2 1/2 lbs. extra lean ground turkey

1 egg (preferably free range or organic)

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce + more for brushing on both sides of burgers

3 garlic cloves, crushed

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/4 cup plain bread crumbs

1/2 tsp. dry oregano

1/2 tsp. sea salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

1/2 tsp. turmeric

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. (MAKES 6 LARGE PATTIES)

Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl, mix ingredients well to combine with hands.

Form 6 large round patties.  Brush more teriyaki sauce on burgers.

Bake in a greased 9×3 baking dish with about 1/4 cup of grapeseed oil uncovered.

Bake in oven for about 40-45 minutes.  Flip burgers halfway through cooking time and brush teriyaki sauce on other side as well.

Always make sure meat is cooked through and is no longer pink.

Add cheese during the last few minutes of baking time.

*Tip:  Best cheese topping on turkey burgers I found is any white cheeses especially blue cheese*
